Reverse Engineering of Turbine Components
Triax provides reverse engineering services for turbine engine components. Our equipment allows us to evaluate and model components with an accuracy up to .0003". We can meet the most stringent design criteria including FAA - Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA).
Reverse Engineering Process:
- Scan Components to create STL model
- STL Model to create Parametric model
- Parametric Model to create CAD model
- CAD model to develop tooling, fixtures and drawings
Equipment utilized to capture the part design data includes:
- ATOS II White Light Scanner
- Zeiss CMM with VAST XT Scanning Head
- Starett 24” Optical Comparator with Quadra-Chek 200
- XOR3 – Reverse Engineering Software
- XOV2 – Verification Software
- SolidWorks
